Judging Lists - How to Apply & Criteria How to Apply The Fox Terrier Club is keen to receive applications from individuals for inclusion in their judging lists. The application will be reviewed by The Fox
Terrier Club committee at the next Fox Terrier Club committee meeting and your
name will be added to the appropriate list, in line with the criteria below.
We will also write to you to confirm the outcome of your application. Criteria To have
been listed on The Fox Terrier Club A1 List To have
indicated that he/she no longer wishes to accept judging appointments To have
actively supported the Breed Note: The judges contained in this list are
confined to those who have the support of the The Club. This is not
necessarily the entire list of judges who have been approved to judge the breed.
Specialists: Minimum
7 years judging experience in the breed To have
the support of The Fox Terrier Club To have
judged 1 Breed Club Open Show To have
judged at least 64 dogs of the appropriate coat To have
attended a seminar given by a KC Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant
examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures To have
attended a seminar given by a KC Accredited Trainer on Confirmation and
Movement To have
attended at least 1 Breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant
KC Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where
applicable To have
bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they first attained their first
entry into the KC Stud Book To have
stewarded for a minimum of 3 years and at 12 shows
Non-Specialists Minimum
of 7 years judging experience in any one breed (to include 5 years in this
breed) To have
the support of The Fox Terrier Club To have
judged 1 Breed Club Open Show To have
judged at least 64 dogs of the appropriate coat To have
bred/and or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they first obtained their first
entry in the KC Stud Book To have
awarded CC's in at least one other breed, preferably from the Terrier Group To have
attended at least one breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with
the KC Code of Practice and passed and examination and/or assessment where
applicable 6 years
interest in the breed
Sufficient knowledge to satisfy the Committee that one is ready to accept
judging appointments
Aspirant judges who do not fall into any of the above categories |
